This year South Sudanese cinema will be honoured with the screening of 10 short-movies every night prior to the European movie.

A closing ceremony, on Saturday, December 7 will be hosted at the French Institute. The screening of the French selection will be followed by a music concert.

Initiated in 2010, the European Film Festival is an opportunity for European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland) to present movies about contemporary European cultural life.
This year’s Film Festival is about more than just films : it’s about ‘transition’, and the 10 European movies are featured with 10 short-films, directed by South Sudanese. The main goal is to strengthen and to widen through the cultural bridge between South Sudan and Europe cinema.
