France is phasing out the use of plastic

France is making moves towards a plastic-free future by 2040. Proposed by Bruno Poirson, the French Secretary of State to the Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, France will begin to phase out the use of plastics starting this year. See the image below for a step-by-step description of its long-term implementation.This will further advance France’s transition to the circular economy.
