The Inauguration of the SFD project in Bor
The SFD-Livelihood supported project was inaugurated on August 12, 2014 in Bor by the Representative of Jonglei State RRC Director and was attended by representative of Commissioner of Bor County, the local chiefs, the Director of CINA and many invited guests.
The purpose of the project is to provide alternative professional livelihood skills to women and youth of the most vulnerable communities in order to enable them to generate income and employment. Beneficiaries will be trained on dress making and business management skills.
The inauguration ceremony was marked by lay-out of sewing machines in the training hall as the trainees sat next to their machines with their instructors declaring that the center was fully set for the trainings to commence the next day, explaining how the trainings will be conducted, and stressing the importance of trainees’ maximum cooperation during the trainings. Four months will be devoted to intensive skills training on tailoring and then it will time for the actual production and marketing of products.
